One-Day Work Retreats
                                    September through May

      Good Works welcomes groups who want to do a Short-Term Mission trip for a day. Often churches or civic groups who are looking for a short-term service opportunity come to Good Works. While service is one motivation to come, some groups are also seeking to strengthen the community aspect of their group.
     Your group will provide us with help that is very much needed in the care of our properties as you come and spend a day with us. You may be involved with yardwork, painting, gardening, construction, wood splitting and other projects associated with the upkeep of the facilities and grounds managed by Good Works. You may also help with some of development projects that we do on these properties.
     Samaritan Projects is another ministry that you may be involved with. We provide volunteers to the elderly or disabled in our community. These people are struggling not only with poverty, but also with age and disabilities. We seek to do a wide range of projects based on the skill levels of our volunteers that will enable people in the neighborhood to continue to live safely and securely in their homes.
     We do not schedule Work Retreats for the period after Thanksgiving through the end of January. If you would like to do a group project in January, please consider our Walk for the Homeless.

ONE-DAY MISSION TRIPS - How you can participate in a one-day work camp.

     Read the information on the links below about Work Retreat and then talk with your group about what they would like to do. Try to get some idea of dates you would like to serve together. Here are some suggested schedules as an option for a one-day group:

    1. 8:30 - 12:00
    2. 12:30 - 4:00
    3. 8:30 to 4:00 with a lunch break
