Week of Service Internship

This is a unique short-term ministry experience for people who want to experience community as well as participate in outreach ministry. You will share a room with another intern in the Hannah House, the home of our Life in Transition program.

Who can apply?
Anyone 16 years of age or older can participate in the Week of Service Internship. Although it was originally designed for teens that had completed their sophomore year of high school, we have had people 70 years old participate in this internship. Regardless of their age, they have had the transforming experience of sharing their lives with people struggling in poverty.

When does this internship happen?
This internship can be planned for any time of the year. Participating during the Summer Service Program will give you the opportunity to serve beside our summer interns and weekly visiting groups. During the rest of the year, even though there are less people around, you can still be involved in various ministry experiences as well as our weekly staff worship and development gatherings.

Whatever time of the year you choose to be involved with us, we will design a schedule that accommodates your personal goals for your internship, as well as provide a challenge for your personal growth. These are some of the Good Works ministries that you may be involved with:

Next, you will need to complete an application, which can be sent to you after you inquire with us about the internship. After we receive your application, we will set up and complete a 10-15 minute telephone interview with you. This is your opportunity to ask any questions that you may have. We will seek clarification on some of the issues that you have identified by the answers you give on your application.
