What to bring?

  If you are joining us for the entire weekend, we encourage you to bring a tent, sleeping bag, camping chairs, Bible, a musical instrument and food to share. While we will have access to a bathroom facility, we will not have refrigeration or ways to heat food other than a charcoal grill.
  If you are not staying overnight, you are encouraged to bring a Bible, camping chairs, a musical instrument and food to share.

 

Schedule

Friday, May 13th
6:00 pm-8:00 pm   Arrival and set up.
8:00 pm – 10:00 pm   Welcome and sharing. Why are people poor? A biblical and sociological view.

Saturday, May 14th
9:00 am   Informal sharing, coffee and community.
10:00 am – 12:00 noon   Session I  Why are people poor? (Part II) Structural sin and personal choices.
4:00 pm – 6:00 pm   Dinner (you are encouraged to bring food to share)
6:00 pm – 8:00 pm   Session II  The unity of the body of Christ and loving our neighbors.

Sunday, May 15th
9:00 am   Informal sharing, coffee and community, singing and scripture reading together.
10:00 am – 12:00 noon   Session III  Developing Christian Community; things which have sustained us in our mission.
