ANNE first became involved with Good Works during the summer of 2003 when she was an intern. Through the people and experiences of that summer, Good Works became deeply embedded in her heart. After graduating from college the following spring and then spending two years in China, Anne returned to central Ohio where she spent a year teaching and generally musing over life.
Throughout that year her thoughts and her heart continued to be drawn back to Athens. And to her delight, a way was opened to be a part of this community once again.
As a caregiver at the Timothy House she keeps finding herself being confronted with the realities of what it means to love God and people… realizing that perhaps we best love God by loving people, and that this is a difficult thing: to love not merely in dreams but in practice.
