| MARLENE J. SCHECK joined the staff at Good Works in September 1997. Marlene and her husband Don have lived in the Athens area for thirty years. After volunteering for the Gathering Place, Marlene decided to study psychology. She first returned to Hocking College and later transferred to Ohio University. She graduated from OU. in 1981 with a bachelor's degree in General Studies and in 1982 with a masters' degree in Education with a specialty in Community Guidance and Counseling. In 1983, she was led by the Lord to open a counseling service with a spiritual emphasis, naming it Christian Counseling Services. Marlene continues to work as a full-time counsellor and and part-time at Good Works as care-giver, counselor and educator. | |
