PAUL began serving Good Works as the Director of Operations in January of 2000. He oversees the following areas:

Paul says, "Good Works is an opportunity for me to be involved in the lives of people struggling with the issues of poverty. It seems that every day we see another person who is struggling to get by. Although we do not have the answers to everyone’s problems, we can help with some of these. For me it is a great blessing to be able to “open my hand to the poor in the land”. I take great joy in seeing volunteers meet real needs in the lives of those in our community. And sometimes those volunteers are the ones coming to us for help.
"I have also found that Good Works is not just a place to help the poor. It is also a place where people can grow. Each person who intersects with this ministry is faced with the opportunity to take another step in their journey with Jesus. It does not matter if you are on staff, a resident, a volunteer, an intern or someone needing help. Together we are seeking to be a community that is growing, receiving gifts from God through one another.
"For me personally, Good Works has been a significant place of growth and healing in my own journey. The relationships and the tasks we take on, as well as God’s Word read and spoken in this ministry, all challenge me to become the person God created me to be. I have also had to face those areas of my life that keep me from this kind of growth.
"One of the areas that I have seen the fruit of this growth is in my family. Lyn, my wife of 24 years, my 18 year-old son Austin, and my 10 year-old daughter Kierra are gifts from God to me. God has used Good Works to help me nurture my family into a safe place for us to grow and become all that he wants us to be."
