Sharon came to Good Works through the Job Partners program in 2001. Initially, she was here to fulfill the requirements of the Welfare to Work program in our state called "Ohio Works First." She quickly made herself indispensable with her quick wit and smile, her dedication to her work, and her willingness to attempt anything, even if it is outside of her experience.

"Because of my being at Good Works and the working at the homeless shelter. I felt I was prompted by the Lord to go back to school to be better at my job and was able to graduate from Ohio Christian University this past spring. I now hold a Bachelors degree, in Substance Abuse Counseling. This allows me to be a caregiver, which is like case management in most other agencies. I do this in addition to my responsibilities with my House Supervision and supervision of residents and volunteers at the Timothy House. It is great opportunity because I love talking to people and being able to help them in any way I can. I also have the responsibility of food donations and the distribution of them within the organization and the distribution of the food to those in need at our weekly Friday Night Life program. I love working for the Lord and find my daily training a most satisfying experience."
